Item Rules
Please note that this is a translation of the Finnish language version of the Item Rules. In case of any discrepancies between the Finnish version and this English version, the Finnish version shall prevail.
1. The Seller shall be responsible for ensuring that the item is suitable for selling to consumers. Therefore:
a) The item and the enclosed documentation must meet the requirements provided by the Consumer Protection Act, Consumer Safety Act, and any other regulations on consumer protection;
b) The item must be safe for consumer use (does not comprise any components, agents, characteristics, defects, or deficiencies that could pose risks);
c) The item must be delivered with sufficient user instructions pertaining to the item (in Finnish and Swedish) and any other documents typically pertaining to the item; and
d) The item must carry CE marking if said marking is a requirement for selling the offered item to consumers under the applicable regulation or market practice.
2. The seller is responsible for ensuring that it has the right to sell the item free and clear of encumbrances. Therefore:
a) The item must be in the possession of the seller;
b) The seller must be the legal owner of the item, or if the seller is selling the item under an order from another person, the ordering party must be the legal owner of the item; and
c) The item must not be subject to any third-party rights (such as lien or retention of ownership) or restrictions on conveyance (such as prohibition of transfer or foreclosure).
3. Selling of items belonging to the following categories is prohibited, unless Huutokaupat.com has issued a written special permission to sell the item:
a) Any products that cannot be sold without an official permit, giving notice to an official, professional installation or commission, payment to a third party, or any other similar payments, permits, notices, or procedures;
Notwithstanding the above, the sale of normally registered vehicles (such as cars and boats) is allowed without separate permission.
b) Live animals and products manufactured from wild animals (permission for selling such items is granted as long as the documentation and any necessary permits are in proper order);
c) Products and services associated with erotica; and
d) Products subject to resale right (such as paintings and other works of visual art whose purchase price exclusive of VAT exceeds 255 euros).

A breach of these rules may lead to loss of access to the Service, liability for damages, as well as other consequences. Huutokaupat.com shall have the right to amend these terms at any time. Each item is subject to the version of the rules that was available on the Huutokaupat.com website as the listing pertaining to the item in question was submitted.
