Listing Rules
Please note that this is a translation of the Finnish language version of the Listing Rules. In case of any discrepancies between the Finnish version and this English version, the Finnish version shall prevail.
1. Any information that can reasonably be expected to have an impact on the price of an item must be clearly indicated in the listing. For example, the observable condition of an item, its characteristics, deficiencies, defects, and damage must be indicated clearly. The listing cannot contain any misleading information.
2. The costs related to the delivery of the item must be clearly indicated in the listing. Any delivery fees must be reasonable and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. For items that cannot be sent as a regular postal delivery, the option to collect the item from the address specified in the listing must always be offered. Huutokaupat.com reserves the right to recover from the seller any delivery fees in excess of the actual direct cost of delivery incurred by the seller.
3. Any expenses pertaining to the procurement and use of the item (such as any unpaid or due taxes) must be clearly indicated in the listing. Tax information (incl information pertaining to valued added tax) must be provided carefully and accurately.
4. Listings must be neutral in terms of their appearance and text: exclamation points, capital letters, and any other methods of emphasis should be avoided. Avoid the use of superlatives in listings. As a rule, the boilerplate texts of Huutokaupat.com are added to listings. The standard texts area available here. Any exceptions will be indicated during the process of submitting a listing.
5. Only the item comprising the subject of the listing can be marketed in the listing. Linking is prohibited.
6. Huutokaupat.com reserves the right to change the closing time of the auction and to modify the listings. The minimum duration of an auction is 18 hours.
7. The placing of bids for the benefit of the owner of the item or their related parties is expressly prohibited. The seller must immediately notify Huutokaupat.com (asiakaspalvelu@huutokaupat.com) in case of suspicion regarding deceitful behavior.
8. The seller shall have the right to reject the highest bid unless the item is sold subject to a Sold to the Highest Bidder clause. However, Huutokaupat.com shall have the right to intervene at its discretion if a seller's rejection rate diverges from regular rate of rejection of Huutokaupat.com.
9. An item cannot be simultaneously offered for sale elsewhere. Accepting the highest bid and listing an item subject to Sold to the Highest Bidder clause means that the item must be sold at the price indicated by the highest bid.
10. All bids for an item must be submitted to Huutokaupat.com in the Huutokaupat.com service. Any bids to be submitted to the seller must be agreed upon separately with Huutokaupat.com
11. Cancellation of an auction without justified reason is prohibited. An auction initiated with a Sold to the Highest bidder clause cannot be cancelled while the auction is ongoing without a written permission from Huutokaupat.com.
12. It is inadvisable to include any sales terms that diverge from the standard terms in a listing. Terms that are contrary to applicable legislation or increase the liability of Huutokaupat.com or reduce the legal position of Huutokaupat.com compared to the situation under the standard terms may not be included in a listing in any event.
13. The listing must include the information under the Consumer Protection Act, also including any information pertaining to the right of withdrawal under the Consumer Protection Act. These terms do not have be included separately if the item is sold as a Huutokaupat.com Transaction, or if the Consumer Protection Act does not apply to the seller (such trade with authorities).

Any breach of these rules may lead to the loss of access to the service, liability for damages, and other consequences. Huutokaupat.com shall have the right to amend these rules at any time. Each listing is subject to the version of the rules that was available on the Huutokaupat.com website as the listing was submitted.
